The Radiolink Plus from Crosby Straightpoint

The Radiolink Plus from Crosby Straightpoint helps users determine the weight of an object as it is lifted, while remaining far enough away to ensure safety. Generally, the load cell is to the test subject and the lifting machinery using Crosby shackles. Then, weight of the object under tension is wirelessly transmitted to the handheld Radiolink Plus receiver, which is monitored by the user. The Radiolink Plus system boasts an impressive wireless range of 3,280 feet, which ensures the load measurement can be safely taken from a distance during all heavy lift applications. It is also supplied with an update rate of 3Hz, and can be easily configured to run at speeds of up to 200Hz making it ideal for dynamic force measurement.

The Radiolink Plus handheld receiver is a standard inclusion, and is capable of reading up to four Radiolink plus load cells simultaneously. The handheld receiver also allows the user to monitor the full weight of the load during tandem lifting and lowering, to ensure safety and prevent overload.

Multiple Wireless Load Cell Monitoring Capability

The Radiolink plus tension load cell can also be used in combination with SP INSIGHT software, high-speed wireless data logging software that allows for simultaneous control, display and real-time data logging of up to 126 Straightpoint wireless load cells. When vombined with INSIGHT software, the Radiolink Plus is particularly useful for Proof Load Testing, Bollard Pull & Tugboat Testing, to data log results and produce full reports and certification. This is also widely used on large scale construction projects and can help improve safety and efficiency both in real-time and later data analysis.

Top-Quality Design & Construction

Decades of development went into the Radiolink Plus. The result of which is a system that is unrivalled for accuracy,  wireless range and the reliability to ensure a safe lift for any project. Radiolink Plus utilizes Straightpoint’s unique strain gauging method, which helps compensate for wire rope torque when the Radiolink Plus is loaded.

The advanced internal design of the dynamometer provides an incredible strength-to-weight ratio. This design also allows the use of a separate internal sealed enclosure, which gives the electronic components an IP67 level of protection. (Even with the battery cover plate missing.) It is constructed from top-quality aerospace-grade aluminum, and is the best option for even the harshest environments.

Available Radiolink Plus Versions

1. Long-range 2.4GHz version – providing an industry-leading wireless range of 1000m or 3280ft to SP’s SW-HHP handheld or software options.

2. Bluetooth output version – can be connected to any smartphone running our free HHP app on iOS or Android at ranges up to 100m or 328ft.

Radiolink Plus Bluetooth

It’s versatility doesn’t end there, there is also a Radiolink Plus Bluetooth option available, which connects to an app, which is free to download via Android or iOS. The Bluetooth Radiolink Plus option has a wireless range of 328ft, and the capability to monitor up to four load cells simultaneously. These factors add convenience to smaller scale projects such as engine replacement or applications utilizing overhead cranes, by allowing the users to monitor the load from a safe zone distance.

Plus, there is a safe version for hazardous areas zones 0, 1 & 2 for Oil and Gas applications where intrinsically safe load monitoring is required.
Available Accessories

Radiolink plus is designed to be rigged with Crosby standard shackles – DNV-GL type approved wireless tension load cell capable of weighing and dynamic load monitoring in capacities from 1t to 500t – from stock with an ATEX and IECEx version available for hazardous areas, zones 0,1&2.
